Xiaomi makes MIUI Gingerbread 2.3.7 Open source

MIUI ROM

Xiaomi,the creators of MIUI rom have made the code of MIUI rom ,open source.Currently only a part of the code is available on github,but developers soon will be able to get the complete source code there.

The code which has been made open-source is based on android 2.3.7.MIUI ICS sources will be also available after completion.

Its certainly a great news for andorid developers as they will be able to port MIUI to various devices,till now only a few devices were supported.Also this is good for many android users,who have devices currently not supported by Xiaomi (MIUI),they can also have official MIUI taste on their devices.
