cm10 jelly bean galaxy s2 CyanogenMod 10 (4.1.1) Preview now available for Galaxy SII [SGH I777]

CyanogenMod 10 (CM10) 4.1.1 aka jelly bean official rom is now available as preview version at XDA developers. The rom is official from CM team but this is just a preview version and thus not suitable for daily use,as it may contain a few bugs.

But,who cares if you want to have a taste of jelly bean on CM10 and possess a Galaxy SII,then flash the CM10 rom right away.To flash the rom follow the steps below :

Your Complete phone system will be wiped and thus you need to make backups of apps, sms, logs or anything you feel you need to keep. Also,as of now its not possible to restore apps via titanium backup.
  1. Copy Gapps and CM10 zip on your SD card before booting in the recovery (CWM)
  2. Next boot in the recovery and make a nandbackup of your current ROM (just safe-keeping).
  3. Do factory reset and also wipe dalvik cache
  4. Next install CM10 zip from SD Card
  5. Next Flash Gapps
  6. Next do factory reset or data wipe again
  7. reboot
  8. Don’t restore apps using TB (yeah you need to install again as restoring apps makes the rom a mess)

Gapps : Get latest from rom manager (get rom manager from market) or go to goo.im (get latest gapps from there)
